ElsterSmart bietet die Möglichkeit, die Zertifikatsdatei, die Sie am ElsterOnline-Portal (https://www.elsteronline.de) z.B. zum Login oder zur Einreichung von Steuerformularen verwenden, in eine Anwendung auf dem Smartphone zu importieren. Auf dem PC wird das Zertifikat bei dieser Art des Logins nicht mehr benötigt. Damit haben Sie Ihre Zertifikatsdatei stets dabei und können überall auf das ElsterOnline-Portal zugreifen.

Sie können außerdem mit ElsterSmart die Registrierung im ElsterOnline-Portal abschließen, in dem Sie Ihre Registrierungsdaten (Aktivierungs-Code und Aktivierungs-ID) in ElsterSmart eingeben. Hierbei wird die Zertifikatsdatei direkt durch ElsterSmart erzeugt und darin sicher gespeichert. 

Hinweise:

- Die App beendet sich aus Sicherheitsgründen sofort, wenn Rooting oder Jailbreak festgestellt wurde. 

- Die Zertifikatsdatei wird direkt in die Anwendung ElsterSmart importiert. 

- Wird die Anwendung deinstalliert oder erfolgt ein Umstieg auf ein neues Smartphone, so ist darauf zu achten, dass die Zertifikatsdatei nicht verloren geht.

- Vor der Deinstallation bzw. dem Wechsel auf ein anderes Gerät ist deshalb ein Export des Zertifikats durchzuführen, um es in der neuen Umgebung wieder importieren zu können.

ElsterSmart benötigt folgende Berechtigungen:

- Fotos/Medien/Dateien: 

USB-Speicherinhalte ändern oder löschen; USB-Speicherinhalte lesen: Diese Berechtigung wird ausschließlich zum Import und Export des Zertifikates benötigt.

- Kamera:

Zugriff auf die Kamera(s) des Geräts: Diese Berechtigung wird für den Import der Zertifikatsdatei via QR-Code benötigt.

Elster Smart - The Authentication app from ELSTER
Elster Smart offers the possibility of the certificate file that you in My Elster (https://www.elster.de) as use to login or filing tax forms to import into an application on the smartphone. On the PC, the certificate is no longer required in this type of login. You have your certificate file is always there and can access My ELSTER everywhere.

You can also enter with Elster Smart registering with ELSTER, where you can enter your registration data (activation code and activation ID) in Elster smart. Here, the certificate file is generated directly by Elster smart and stored safely in it.

Notes: 
- The app displays a message if Rooting or Jailbreak was found.
- The certificate file is imported directly into the application Elster smart.
- When the application is uninstalled or until a transition to a new smartphone, so it must be ensured that the certificate file is not lost.
